Subject:  Introducing our new Board Members
I would like to welcome the new members of the FMAR Board of Directors to our team. Heather Adams Secretary Orsi Dezsi Grant Writing Coordinator Eileen (Weezey) Russell Volunteer Coordinator. These three new board members have joined board members Pete and Marcy LaFramboise, Page (Kathryn)McLaughlin and Linda Luke with the goal of joining our dedicated volunteers and supporters as we continue to grow FMAR and make it the best it can be. 2008 is going to be a huge year and very busy for the volunteers and the board of directors. We think we have the right team in place to make it all happen. Please help us welcome them to the team. Thank you so much to everyone who supports us. Blessings, Pete and Marcy

Subject:  Ann Marie is the voice of your pet
I would like to thank Ann Marie Sawicki and all of the pet familes who joined our chat room on Valentine's day. I thought it was an awesome experience. Ann is a great supporter of FMAR and has helped us find just the right families for many of the animals that come to the shelter to stay while they wait for their new families. Even though several questions were typed in at once Ann was able to sort them out and give everyone a chance to experience her gifts in just one hour. If you still have questions or concerns about an animal or know of someone who would benefit from talking to Ann please have them visit her webisite at www.sessionswithspirit.net. If you were one of the visitors to our chat room with Ann Marie Sawicki we would like to hear from you. Please feel free to leave a blog or go to Ann's website www.sessionswithspirit.net to contact her direct. Thank you again for a great chat!

Subject:  Bobbi and Jerry Inspiration
FMAR would like to recognize two wonderful people who are an inspiration to both Pete and I. Jerry and Bobbi B. have been taking in cats (and a couple dogs) for years. Our paths crossed when they were forced to leave their home and move their family to a new area. We lost touch for a while but we were destined to cross paths again. Jerry and Bobbi have been two of the biggest advocates for FMAR by creating and hosting fundraisers without the help or any funding from FMAR. Their efforts have yeilded great rewards for FMAR, however it is their compassion and love that stands out in our hearts. Thank you so much Bobbi and Jerry for your devotion and dedication to the animals of FMAR and for the wonderful friendship and love you have shown Pete and I over the past year. We won't lose touch again.

Subject:  Xerox Volunteer Day
The second annual Xerox Volunteer Day was another huge success. The weather was perfect as over 20 volunteers showed up to help build a dog play ramp, install gutters, re-organize and clean both the main shelter area and the community cat room. We really appreciate all of the support we have received from the entire group at Xerox in Southfield. We hope to see everyone back again next year!

Subject:  Volunteer Clean Up day A Success
Pete and I would like to thank everyone who came out to help during Volunteer Clean Up day on June 2, 2007. The shelter, flower gardens, community cat room, and outdoor dog area all look wonderful. The dogs and cats say thank you so very much! The volunteers love the sink in the cat area and the rock around the outside dog area. It is wonderful to have so many dedicated volunteers. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Pete and Marcy

Subject:  Pet Oxygen Mask to Sumpter Twp.
FMAR will be presenting Sumpter Fire Department with two sets of Pet Oxygen Masks tonight. April 25, 2007. This is just one more way FMAR can move forward with our mission of creating a healthy and safe enviornment for pets and people alike. We will also be making a pet oxygen mask donation to the city of Belleville and Van Buren Township as soon as we can coordinate it. Keep watching great things are happening.

Subject:  FMAR Brings Joy!
I would like to congratulate FMAR on the wonderful work, dedication, commitment and care they provide to animals in and around the community who find themselves homeless or less than loved. We've been fortunate to adopt three of our four cats from FMAR. They are healthy, loving and such a wonderful part of our family. My thanks to Pete and Marcy for having the dream, seeing the vision, and fulfilling it. FMAR is the best.

Subject:  Thank you to U of M
FMAR would like to thank U of M for inviting our shelter out for a Pets on the Patio day at the Alice Lloyd Residence Hall. The dogs and cats had a blast getting attention from all of the students. The turn out was GREAT and we can't wait to be invited back. The only thing that would have made it better was a warmer day, but with all the attention the dogs and cats had we all managed to stay warmer than we thought.
